When Ziggy retired from the show ring, he proved to have more important things to do. While I was teaching, Ziggy came to school with me and became an important asset to my classroom. Many of my students were struggling readers and therefore did not enjoy it. Ziggy became a “Book Buddy” and the kids could take turns holding him if they read to him. The students loved this individual time with him, and Ziggy – loving the attention - would sit quietly listening and never corrected them when they mispronounced a word☺

He has new duties now that he is living in Texas. He is my constant companion – always making sure my lap is warm and that I always have a few good laughs at his funny antics every day. Lately, he has become a wonderful Golden Retriever puppy raiser………..well, until he found out this puppy was going to stay!!
